EDMOND DEDE

Hanson published masters theses in both music history and music theory on the work of the Black American Romantic composer Edmond Dede. Additionally Hanson had the distinct honor of publishing the article on Dede for the New Grove Dictionary of American Music. Hanson is extremely passionate about the preservation and performance of music by marginalized composers of the nineteenth century, particularly American composers of color. If you would like additional information about Edmond Dede or his music and Hanson's research on the composer's life and work please use the contact page of this website.
